Please welcome Porty Spice to the ever-growing library of Stillhead whiskies! Initially this 100% rye whisky spent four years in a new charred American oak barrel. It was then transferred to a decades old, fruit forward Tawny Port wine cask imported directly from Portugal.
The nose reveals bounties of dark and stone fruits, cereal grains and a slight earthy, medicinal note. On the palate, expect a fruit bomb of a whisky with flavours of sultana raisins, candied citrus, tree ripe peaches and plums. All this leads to a brown sugar and molasses unctuous finish.
