Great Rye Whisky Meets An Anejo Tequila Cask
We’ve bottled our BC Distilled audience favourite rye whisky just in time for Christmas. If you’ve been in by the distillery since the summer this was cask #137 which was our self fill cask. With the lounge getting much busier we weren’t able to help our guests fill bottles, and we had many requests for a full size bottle. So here it is! This is simply a must try in the tasting room. After aging in an ex bourbon barrel, we transferred the whisky to an anejo tequila cask. The cask gave up tons of tequila notes, layering agave complexity into the spicy, sweet herbaceous rye.
