You can enjoy this exquisite liqueur on its own, or you might prefer to mix it into your favorite cocktails. Additionally, it serves as a perfect drizzle over desserts, enhancing your experience with nature’s essence in every bottle.
How We Make It
We started crafting this product when we opened our distillery. However, because of the success of our Wild Blackberry Gin and Vodka, we often found ourselves short on time and blackberries to finish this liqueur. In 2020, we completed the label, but we couldn’t yet bring it to market as we were spending most of our time making hand sanitizer! Finally, this year, we reserved enough berries for a small release. The results are a liqueur we know you’ll love — deliciously jammy and perfectly sweet. Thus, it is ideal for drizzling over dry sparkling wine or enjoying as a refreshing sip over ice.
To create Stillhead Wild Blackberry Liqueur, we carefully source hand picked wild blackberries. We specifically choose them for their exceptional flavor and ripeness. Instead of macerating the berries, we juice them, then combine this juice with our handcrafted high proof vodka. This process preserves all of the blackberry flavour as the alcohol prevents any deterioration. Finally, we add only enough natural cane sugar to achieve the perfect balance, allowing the blackberry flavours to shine. This meticulous process results in a liqueur that embodies the vibrant character of the berries, delivering a jammy and refreshing experience.
Cocktail Recipes
For a refreshing twist, try the “Sparkling Blackberry Bliss” cocktail! First, combine 1.5 oz of Stillhead Wild Blackberry Liqueur with 1 oz of fresh lemon juice in a shaker filled with ice. Then, shake gently and strain the mixture into a champagne flute. After that, top it off with 3 oz of your favorite sparkling wine. Finally, garnish with fresh blackberries and a lemon twist for a stunning finish!
